Our Commitment to Safe Play
BetOranje is committed to operating a safe and responsible gambling environment. We believe that gambling should be an enjoyable form of entertainment, and we take our responsibility to players seriously. We operate with strict age verification, offer self-imposed limits, and provide access to free support organisations for players who need help.
Gambling involves risk. For the vast majority of players, it is a fun leisure activity. But for some people, gambling can become a problem that affects their finances, relationships, and wellbeing. This page explains the tools available to help you stay in control and provides resources for anyone who needs support.

Responsible Gambling Tools
The following tools are available to all BetOranje account holders on request. Contact the support team via live chat or email to apply any of these measures. Most limits can be applied immediately.
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, per week, or per month. Once a deposit limit is active, you cannot deposit more than the set amount within the chosen time period. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit requires a 7-day cooling-off period.
Loss Limits
Cap the amount you can lose within a set time period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once the limit is reached, you will be prevented from placing further bets until the period resets. Loss limits can be reduced immediately.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum continuous playing session length. When your session reaches the limit, you will receive a notification and be automatically logged out. This helps prevent extended unplanned sessions.
Cooling-Off Period
Take a temporary break from the Platform for a defined period (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or a custom duration). During a cooling-off period, you cannot log in, deposit, or place bets. The break ends automatically when the period expires.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion permanently or indefinitely blocks access to your account. This is the strongest available tool and is recommended if you feel you have a gambling problem. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the chosen period. To self-exclude, contact support and your account will be closed immediately.
Reality Check
Enable periodic on-screen reminders showing how long you have been playing and how much you have wagered during the session. Reality checks help you stay aware of the time and money you are spending.
To apply any of these tools, contact our support team via live chat or email. All requests are actioned promptly by our responsible gambling team.
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling is when gambling negatively affects a person's life. It can develop gradually or rapidly. Here are some warning signs to watch for in yourself or someone you know:
Financial Warning Signs
- Gambling with money needed for essentials (rent, food, bills)
- Borrowing money to gamble
- Chasing losses by continuing to gamble
- Hiding gambling spending from others
- Selling possessions to fund gambling
Behavioural Warning Signs
- Feeling unable to stop or control gambling
- Spending increasing amounts of time or money gambling
- Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, or depression
- Lying to family or friends about gambling
- Neglecting work, family, or personal responsibilities
If you recognise any of these signs in yourself, we encourage you to use the self-exclusion or deposit limit tools, or reach out to a free support organisation listed below.
Self-Assessment
Ask yourself the following questions honestly:
- Do I gamble more than I intend to?
- Do I feel anxious or irritable when I am not gambling?
- Do I gamble to recover money I have lost?
- Has gambling caused problems with family, friends, or work?
- Do I hide my gambling from others?
- Have I tried to stop gambling and failed?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we recommend contacting a support organisation or using the self-exclusion tool.
